Precision Construction Services was awarded as one of Rycon Construction’s subcontractors for an inspiring Yosemite National Park project: the remodel of the Curry Village Pavilion and surrounding eateries, known as Seven Tents.
The Seven Tents project is a remodel and improvement of the visitor dining facility located at Curry Village within Yosemite National Park. Anticipated renovations to the dining room, servery, kitchen, pizza kitchen, pizza deck, and restrooms will serve to enhance the visitor experience to this iconic location.
Precision will supply all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supervision needed to complete for the rough and finish carpentry on the project. More specifically, Precision’s skilled tradesmen will be:
- Framing the new additions for Curry Village’s bathrooms, portions of the roof, a new servery and a brand new pizza deck.
- Installing new decking and rails around the pizza deck.
- New siding at exterior of the building.
- New finish carpentry throughout.
- New architectural casework throughout.
- Installation of new doors and hardware.
Precision has built a strong relationship with the National Park Service and built a presence in Yosemite National Park through our work on a number of projects, including the Yosemite Village South Lot Comfort Station and several projects at the historical Ahwahnee Hotel. The basis for this relationship and Precision’s successful execution of past projects is the Company’s experienced team of skilled craftsmen and expertise in the area of historic preservation and restoration work.
Ryan Swenson, Division Manager for Precision, had this to say about the new project: “We have a passion for the park and its history and we are honored to be a part of it with every project we contribute to within Yosemite. We have spent countless hours relaxing at the Curry Village Pavilion after long days of hiking and rock climbing over the years and it will be wonderful to have our fingerprints on this historic piece of Yosemite National Park.”
